Meet J.J. Villar
Keynote Speaker • Experiential Trainer • Creative Director • Performance Coach
The stage was my classroom. Human performance became my passion.
J.J. Villar has spent his life in a world where preparation, precision, creativity, and adaptability decide whether a performance becomes extraordinary or a missed opportunity. Today he brings those lessons beyond the stage, helping individuals, teams, and performers develop the awareness, confidence, and connection to perform when it matters most.

Where it started
A five‑year‑old in Colombia and a makeshift Bad jacket.
Long before the big stages, J.J. was a little kid in Colombia throwing on whatever black jacket he could find, his own makeshift version of Michael's Bad jacket, and copying every Michael Jackson music video with his friends, move for move.
Years later, that dream came true. He joined Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE as a dancer and went on to become co-choreographer and flag coach for the company, eight years inside the show he had been rehearsing for since he was five.

A lifetime in performance
A career where the show must go on.
J.J.'s career spans performing, choreography, artistic direction, producing, talent recruitment, and mentorship: three world championship titles with Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International, Las Vegas production shows, television, and major live events. Along the way, his work has been recognized with several honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for choreography from the LA Music Awards.
For fourteen years he has also served as Creative Director for Office Dynamics International's Conference for Administrative Excellence, designing experiences that bring people together through creativity, participation, and live performance.

Still training. Still rehearsing.
The greatest lesson wasn't the performance. It was who the stage forged him to become.
The turning point
What makes one person rise under pressure while another freezes?
In 2018, an injury forced J.J. off the stage. Almost overnight, the identity he had spent his whole life building as a performer was gone, and he had to rediscover who he was beyond the stage and the applause.
In the middle of that loss, he found his way into a Tony Robbins event. It became the catalyst for everything that followed: it reignited his sense of purpose and brought him back to his faith in God. What started as a seat in the audience became a calling to help others through their own breakthroughs.
He immersed himself in coaching, masterminds, and the study of human behavior, NLP techniques, mindset, and identity, and earned his certification in neuroencoding through the Neuroencoding Institute. The questions he'd lived with for years became his work: why talented people struggle with confidence, and how beliefs, identity, and habitual responses shape what we're capable of.

Understanding something and being able to execute it under pressure are two very different things. That gap became the focus of his work.

My why
My why
I watched my mom and dad spend their whole lives in corporate America. They were good people and hard workers, and they fought for everything they had. Today I watch them face the hardest chapter of their lives, and they are the two people I was never able to truly help.
Then I lost my own identity. When my injury took the stage away, I learned firsthand how easy it is to believe that what you do is who you are.
Since then, in offices and in rehearsal studios, I keep seeing the same thing: people living their personal and professional lives with their heads down, blending in like wallpaper, when they were designed to shine like superstars. Most of us carry far more potential than we ever use. What holds us back usually isn't talent. It's the stories we tell ourselves.
I love seeing the best in someone, and watching the spark come back into their eyes, along with hope for a better life. If I can use what I've learned to help people, teams, and organizations find that again, I'm living my purpose.
The mission today
Helping people rediscover who they are and what they're capable of.
J.J. helps individuals, teams, and organizations strengthen their identity, let go of the roles and stories that no longer serve them, and uncover the best version of who they are.
His tools come from the stage: movement, performance, acting, improv, and play. So much of how we communicate is nonverbal, and so much of what holds us back lives in the body as much as the mind. When people move, play, and perform together, they see themselves, and each other, differently.
That shift doesn't stay in the room. It shows up at work, at home, and in how people show up for the world around them.
Human performance isn't just about what we do. It's about who we become, how we connect, and how we respond when it matters.
